Our Service
The
Community Adult Day Care (CADC) is a not-for-profit organization
serving Downers Grove and the surrounding community.
The
center's function is to provide a dignified and pleasant
environment for any adult needing daytime care. Adult day
care offers families and clients an alternative to full-time care
in the home.

Our Program
The Center operates Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 5:45 p.m.
The
Center offers daily activities programs, including
recreational, social, intellectual and spiritual programs.
Clients may also participate in field trips, offered on a
monthly basis.
Lunch and appropriate refreshments and snacks are served at
the Center.

Our Staff
The Center is staffed by a full-time Executive Director and several
friendly, dedicated and caring full- and part-time employees, including a
Nurse Consultant.
The
Center is also fortunate to have an extensive volunteer program,
providing the Center and its clients with additional everyday
support.

History
The Community Adult Day Care Center opened in
December 1986.
The center was created through a coalition of local churches and
their dedicated volunteers. The Board of Directors is made up of
representatives of the member churches and members-at-large.

Transportation
Dial-A-Ride bus service is available to the handicapped and senior
citizens (65 or older) residing within Downers Grove.
Dial-A-Ride is funded through the township and PACE, and
provides rides to any point located
within Downers Grove Township, Mon. - Fri. 7:30 to 5:00 PM.
